The South Dakota State University equestrian team closed out the home season Saturday with an 11-4 victory over Minnesota Crookston at the DeHaan Equestrian Center.

The Jackrabbits, who improved to 3-6 in head-to-head competition this season, held advantages in all four events and also swept the Most Outstanding Performer awards.

In fences, Julia Werkhoven earned MOP honors with a 79-point ride aboard Elliot. Rachel Darby also won her individual matchup, scoring 70 on Duke. Margaret Franke and UMC's Kendra Putzke tied with scores of 74 on Snowy.
 Hannah Steele led the Jackrabbits in flat with a score of 70.5 aboard Enrique to earn MOP honors in the event. Kali Karbler (66) and Werkhoven (65) also earned points for SDSU.

In Western competition, SDSU claimed three of four available points in both horsemanship and reining. Kodi O'Boyle took top honors in horsemanship with a score of 71 on Merlin, while Callyn Fox (66.5) and Annika Hanson (66) also notched scoring rides for the Jackrabbits.

Reining MOP honors went to Natalie Gydesen with a score of 69 on Snoop. Cassandra Townsend (70.5) and Amelia Nelson (69) registered the other two points for the Jackrabbits.
