A dominant performance in both jumping seat disciplines gave SDSU an edge to beat Minnesota Crookston 12-4 at the DeHaan Equestrian Center.
The Jackrabbits are now 2-2 on the season and 2-1 against ECAC opponents.
The two-victory weekend on Friday and Saturday is the first time SDSU has recorded back-to-back wins since the 2022-23 season, when the Jackrabbits upended both Delaware State and Minnesota Crookston at home.
The SDSU sweep in fences saw all four riders score in the 80s.
Sarah Gould earned Most Outstanding Performer in her 84-0 victory over Avery Crook.
Hannah Steele's ride scored an 83,
Brooke Borges was victorious over Alexandria Wentland and
Juliana Gullo finished with a score of 85 to beat Belle Syrett.
Horsemanship was split 2-2 with the Golden Eagles taking the first two wins of the discipline by half a point each. Madison Wojeck narrowly beat
Paige Wellendorf, 75-74.5, while
Brighton McBride also lost 71-70.5 to Hailey Hanson.
Anna Minich earned the horsemanship Most Outstanding Performer for the second meet in a row, this time tallying a 76 to beat Ava Glenn.
McKenna Hooyer took the win over Emma Mutnansky 74.2-72.5 to finish out the discipline.
SDSU took both flat and reining in a 3-1 fashion.
In flat,
Kayla Scherer beat Wentland 66-55, Borges won her head-to-head against Crook 58-52 and Steele continues her undefeated record as she closed out the night with a 71-64 win over Kaylynn Berry 71-64.
Syrett bested
Sierra Elliott for UMN Crookston's sole win in flat with a final score of 72-70.
Adisyn Kuxhaus picked up the first win in reining for the Jacks with a 70.5-65 victory over Madison Wachtel.
Ada Hirschfeld earned MOP and a win in her match against Hailey Hanson 71.5-69.5.
The last point for SDSU was scored by
Emma Riggs with a 71 while teammate
Lillie Wallis fell short, losing to Samantha Lyons 68.5-68.
UP NEXT
The Jackrabbits will head to Felton, Delaware for the final two meets of the fall season to compete against Delaware State on Nov. 15 and UT Martin on Nov. 16.
