SARASOTA, Fla. - The South Dakota State women's golf team wrapped the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational in 15th place Monday at the Palm Aire Country Club.
The Jackrabbits posted a 620 (+44) final team tally over two rounds of action. The squad was four shots behind Grand Valley State.
Reese Jansa finished the tournament in a tie for 45th place (78-74--152, +8). After a 78 (+6) in her opening round that had her in 52nd place Sunday, the sophomore carded a 2-over 74 to jump into 45th in the standings.
Piper Stubbs and
Alex Kandolin finished tied for 61st place with matching 156 (+12) scorecards, while
Shakira-Ann Kuys was three shots back with a 159 (+15).
Molly O'Hara tallied a 160 (+15).
Ohio State's Kary Hollenbaugh fired an 8-under-par 136 to earn medalist honors and lead the Buckeyes to a first-place team title.
