DANBURY, Conn. — Fourteen South Dakota State equestrian student-athletes recently earned recognition on all-academic teams determined by the Eastern College Athletic Conference.
Eight of the Jackrabbits honored were first-team selections, including three-time honoree Hannah Steele and repeat selection Adisyn Kuxhaus. In addition, senior Paige Wellendorf moved up to the first team after being a second-team selection a year ago.

First-team selections must carry at least a 3.5 grade-point average and participate in a minimum of 70 percent of the team's competitions.
Following is the full listing of the Jackrabbits' first-team honorees:
Hannah Dutton, So., Mount Vernon, Washington (Western);
Four other Jackrabbit riders earned second-team recognition for posting at least a 3.25 GPA and competing in a minimum of 60 percent of the team's meets. Those selections included:
Gerbus and McBride were previous selections to the ECAC All-Academic Team.

Rounding out the academic honors were 12 Honor Roll selections, which requires a 3.25 cumulative GPA. Those honorees included:
South Dakota State ended the 2024-25 season with a 4-9 overall record in head-to-head competition, including a 3-3 mark against conference opponents. The Jackrabbits advanced to the semifinal round of the ECAC Equestrian Championship this past week in Martin, Tennessee.
