SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State's
Ty Kretz and
Bryson Mercier were recognized with All-League honors Friday.
Kretz, a first-team selection, and Mercier, an honorable mention, have both been honored multiple times in their careers. A vote of the League's 11 head coaches determined the all-league first and second teams, the honorable mention squad, and the all-freshman team, which is a new award for the 2025 campaign.
Ty Kretz, the lone three-time recipient honored this year, paced SDSU throughout the regular season after posting the league's best stroke average at 72.0. Kretz registered a league-best 17 rounds at par or better and turned in his best finish of the season at the Jackrabbit Invitational where he took second with a 54-hole total of 213 (-3).
Mercier repeats as an honorable mention on the All-Summit awards. He was second on the team this season with a 73.4 stroke average. Mercier's best finish came at the Jackrabbit Invitational, where he went 6-under over three rounds to claim medalist honors.
St. Thomas and South Dakota led all teams with three overall selections. The Jackrabbits are the No. 7 seed in this weekend's Summit League Championship.
