HOW IT HAPPENED:

USD came out of the timeout hot and went on a five-point run to take an 18-15 lead over SDSU. But the Jacks once again battled back and knotted the score at 21, before rattling off a 3-0 run to put the set within reach, before two USD errors allowed them to clinch the set, 25-22.
Set 2: USD launched themselves back into the game in set two, as they got out to a 14-9 lead over the Jackrabbits and never looked back, taking the set 25-17 and evening the score.
Set 3: SDSU responded emphatically in the third set, going on a 4-0 run to start the set, before USD rallied back to tie the score at 9-9. A five-point run by SDSU forced the media timeout, as the Jacks got out and ran on the Coyotes, putting together multiple three-point runs and taking the set, 25-16.
Set 4: USD got back on the right side of the ledger in the fourth set, as the Coyotes and Jackrabbits battled back and forth, before the Coyotes rattled off a 5-0 run to take a 21-14 lead. From there, the Jacks hung around with a 3-0 run to force a Coyote timeout, but it was too late as USD took the set, 25-20.
Set 5: The two teams went to war in the fifth set, trading blows back and forth, with the score deadlocked at 6-6. A service run from Gabi Zachariasen put the Jacks away, as the Yotes put together a 5-0 run to take a 13-7 lead and put the match point within reach.
