WOMEN'S 4X100M POST SECOND-BEST PERFORMANCE IN SDSU HISTORY

MADISON, S.D. — South Dakota State posts 11 program top 10 marks at the Steinborn/Beacom Twilight Meet, hosted by Dakota State University Monday evening.
HEAD COACH ROD DEHAVEN "Wow, what a day. You don't know what you're going to get with a pop-up meet like this, but we were treated to a very special day. I have to give a big thank you to Dakota State for allowing us to come over and compete today. So many really good things for the group, and, given the weather forecast, I think it puts a positive spin on things as we head through the rest of this week into Easter."
Harris competed in the 100-meter dash as well. The sophomore became the second-best performer in SDSU history with a time of 11.64 to win the event. O'Sullivan competed as well, clocking a time of 11.85 to take second in the race and become sixth-best.
Fischer made the top 10 list in the 100-meter dash as well. The freshman crossed the line at 10.50 to become the eighth-fastest performer in SDSU history.
Jenna Johnson had a fantastic run in the 400-hurdles to kick off the outdoor slate. Johnson posted a time of 1:01.38 to win the event and become the third-best performer in program history.
Story Rasby opened her freshman season with an impressive 400-meter performance to earn a spot on the SDSU top 10 list. Rasby crossed the line at 54.86 to become the third-fastest Jackrabbit.
Brady Wallace had an excellent showing in his first collegiate 110-hurdles competition. Wallace posted a time of 14.33 to become the sixth-best hurdler in program history. Carter Johnson competed as well, clocking 14.37 to become eighth-best.
Rasby, Johnson, Reese Luze and Erika Kuntz rounded out track events with the eighth-best 4x400-meter time in Jackrabbit history. The squad finished at 4:46.41 to win the event.
In field events, Ty Nelson won the triple jump competition with a mark of 48-05.50 (14.77m) to become the ninth-best performer in program history. Wyatt Melcher competed as well, finishing runner-up with a mark of 47-01.75 (14.37m).
In throws, Ryan Hackbart won the hammer throw competition with a mark of 180-11 (55.15m). On the women's side, Josie Curry placed runner-up with a throw of 179-00 (54.56m), only four inches off from her personal record.
