The South Dakota State women's golf team will kick off its fall 2026 season by competing in the Redbird Invitational, hosted by Illinois State, on Sunday and Monday in Normal, Illinois, at the Weibring Golf Club.

COURSE INFORMATION
The Weibring Golf Club at Illinois State University was designed in 1962 by golf course architect Robert Bruce Harris. It was originally designed with a regulation-length nine-hole course along the outside edges of the property with a shorter executive length nine-hole course in the middle. The course opened in May 1964 with University President Robert Bone hitting the first shot. Today, the 6,915-yard, par 71 golf course accommodates approximately 30,000 rounds per year and will host more than 100 tournaments and outings.

OF NOTE…
- The Jackrabbits lost only three golfers from last year. They return All-Summit League Freshman Team selection Riko Danjo, as well as Hannah Boraas, who finished seventh at the Summit League Championships, and Molly O'Hara, who finished 30th.
- The Jacks add four freshmen: Olivia Braun, Rylan Horning, Brynn Baillet and Aja Blankenship. Braun and Horning start the year in the lineup for the Jacks.
The South Dakota State women's golf team took home their first-ever Summit League Championship in 2026, going on to compete at the Stanford NCAA Regional. Ericka Schneider was named Summit League Coach of the Year. The team put up a 300.23 season average, fourth-best in program history. The Jacks also crowned their third-ever individual champion in graduated senior McKenzie Mages, who was also named Summit League Golfer of the Year.Â
