Before SDSU: Five-year starter and letterwinner in softball ... named to the North all-tournament team four times ... three-time all-conference selection ... named to the Catholic Youth Organization and Spencer All-tournament teams after her junior and senior years ... voted team MVP, best offensive and best defensive player following her junior and senior seasons ... named an all-district performer after the 2006 and 2007 seasons ... earned Omaha World Herald All-Western Iowa first-team and Sioux City Journal Athlete-of-the-Week honors as a senior when she hit .333 with 43 hits, 29 runs, 36 RBI and a Sioux City record-tying 12 homeruns ... also earned four varsity letters in track ... earned an all-conference selection for the Class 3A state champion Crusader volleyball team ... made the honor roll all four years of high school ... four-year member of the student council ... also participated in the Ambassador Mission Club, Best Buddies, National Council on Youth Leadership and Knights of the Alter
