Just a week after putting together its first three-game Summit League winning streak, South Dakota State got its first three-game overall winning streak at the Division I level, and then extended it to four with wins at UMKC and Southern Utah. Those two wins give the Jackrabbits five straight in league play, and sets the stage for a match-up with rival North Dakota State on Friday in Fargo, N.D., when the Jacks look to beat the Bison for the first time in seven tries, dating back to a 67-65 win on Feb. 18, 2006, in Frost Arena.
A win Friday would also mark the first win over the Bison for any player on the current SDSU roster and the first win in Bison Sports Arena since Feb. 26, 2005.
Kai Williams and Clint Sargent kept the Jacks streak alive on Thursday at UMKC, Williams scored a game-high 19 points in the win, while Sargent recovered from a slow first half to score all 18 of his points in the second half. Nate Wolters also helped get the win, and tied an SDSU single-game record by making all 12 of his free throws.
Garrett Callahan took control on Saturday in the win over Southern Utah, scoring 19 points off the bench to lead the Jacks. Sargent added 16 points in the win, while Wolters scored 12 for the second straight game.
Garrett Callahan leads the Jacks overall with 12.5 points per game, and enters the week 50 points shy of cracking the top-10 in all-time scoring at SDSU. Clint Sargent adds 11.4 points per game thanks in large part, to a team and league-high 90 percent free throw percentage. Kai Williams averages 9.9 points per game and leads the Jacks with 5.2 rebounds per game. Michael Palarca scores just 3.5 points per game, but leads the Jacks with 51 assists and enters the week tied with Callahan with 13 steals.

CALLAHAN CLOSING IN ON THE TOP-10 - Garrett Callahan joined the SDSU 1,000 Point Club on Feb. 12, 2009, and continues his climb up the all-time scoring charts. Callahan started the season ranked 25th all-time, but with 1,305 points so far this season, needs just 50 more points to crack the top-10.
WILLIAMS MAKES HIS MARK - Kai Williams completed an old fashioned three-point play in overtime against Oakland on Jan. 31, 2009, to become the 39th member of the SDSU 1,000 Point Club and the first to score all of his points at the Division I level. Now a senior Williams enters the week ranked 16th all-time with 1,260 points.
In addition to his climb up the SDSU scoring charts, Williams also rebounded his way into the top-10 in career-rebounds. Williams, who led the Jacks in rebounding in each of his first three years on the team, enters the week ranked sixth on the all-time list with 742 rebounds and needs just 15 rebounds to crack the top-five.
SARGENT CLOSES IN ON 1,000 POINTS - Junior Clint Sargent continues to close in on the 1,000-point milestone. His 193 points so far this season gives him 845 career-points, 155 points shy of joining the club.
WOLTERS TIES FREE THROW RECORD - Freshman Nate Wolters tied the SDSU single game free-throw percentage record when he went 12-for-12 from the free throw line in the Jacks win over UMKC last week. Wolters ties the record first set by Jim Sutton in a win over St. Thomas (Minn.) on Dec. 17, 1956 and equaled by Garrett Callahan in a win over Southern Utah on Feb. 12, 2009.
