South Dakota State wraps-up the first leg of its second road trip of the season on Thursday, when the Jackrabbits close out the non-conference portion of their scheduled against No. 16/17 Minnesota in Minneapolis at historic Williams Arena at 7 p.m.
The Jacks look to start their second winning streak of the season and post their first-eve win over a Division I ranked opponent on Thursday after snapping their first losing streak on Monday at Central Michigan.
Tied at 69 with the clock winding down, Nate Wolters drained a three-pointer as time expired to lift the Jackrabbits to a 72-69 win at Central Michigan on Monday.
Wolters led all players with 25 points and a game-high six assists. Clint Sargent added 19 points in the win, while Chad White finished with 12 points, seven rebounds and a career-high three blocks.
The Jacks led 37-24 at halftime, but Central Michigan got back into the game by chipping away at the Jackrabbit lead until the Chippewas eventually forced the first of seven second-half ties at 52-52 with 8:10 left in the game, and then took their first lead on an Andre Coimbra layup with just over five minutes left.
Tied at 67 with 32 seconds left, Jordan Dykstra put back a Wolters miss for the fourth and final lead change, only to see CMU's William McClure tie the game at 69 with eight seconds left.
That set the stage for Wolters, who brought the ball down the floor and broke the final tie with a three pointer at the buzzer to lift the Jackrabbits to the win.
Wolters leads the Jackrabbit offense through 11 games with 18.9 points per game, with 63 assists and with 18 steals. He also pitches in with 4.0 rebounds per game. Clint Sargent averages 13.5 points per game and adds 3.0 rebounds; Griffan Callahan leads the team with 5.6 rebounds per game and adds 9.8 points per game. Chad White averages 10.4 points, ranks second on the team with 5.1 rebounds and leads the Jacks with 11 blocks.

NAGY RAISING MONEY FOR HAITIAN RELIEF EFFORTS - Head coach Scott Nagy teamed up with Samaritan's Feet in each of the last two seasons to raise money and shoes for children in Haiti, a cause that really hits home for Nagy and his family, especially after a major earthquake shook the country on Jan. 12, 2010.
Already scheduled to coach in his bare feet on Jan. 23, 2010, against Oakland to raise money and shoes, the devastation in Haiti caused Nagy to shift his focus from shoes to earthquake relief, which worked to the tune of over $6,000.
Jackrabbit fans can play their part again in 2011, when Nagy coaches barefoot when the Jacks host IPFW on Jan. 22, in Frost Arena. Anyone interested in donating can simply text SHOES to 85944, which automatically adds $5 to your next phone bill. Donations from the 605 area code go specifically to help Nagy's cause.
