The Jackrabbit men look to rebound from their first loss of the season this week with a pair of non-conference games on the slate against Mayville State on Wednesday and Milwaukee on Saturday, both games begin at 7 p.m. in Frost Arena.
The Jacks started the home stand with a 94-80 win over Southwest Minnesota State on Nov. 18, and continued it with dominating wins over Idaho State, Eastern Illinois and Nevada before the streak came to an end on Saturday against North Dakota State in both team's Summit League opener.
Along with the season-opening win streak, the Jacks also put another streak on the line against the Bison, an eight game losing skid, and unfortunately for the Jackrabbits, and despite a career-high 36 points from Nate Wolters, that skid continued, as the Jacks fell 82-75 in front of a season-high 5,547 Frost Arena faithful.
Wolters game and career-high 36 points marked the best performance by a Jackrabbit at Frost Arena since Andy Moeller scored 32 against Northern State on March 13, 2004, and the most points scored by a Jackrabbit since Austin Hansen scored 36 against Fort Hays State in the North Central Regional Tournament on March 14, 2003.
The Jacks opened the game on a 7-0 run, but the Bison responded with a 15-2 run and led for all but a minute the rest of the game.
Wolters leads the Jackrabbit offense through seven games with 18.0 points per game, with 37 assists and with 14 steals. He also helps out with 4.0 rebounds per game. Clint Sargent averages 13.6 points per game and adds 3.1 rebounds, while Chad White rounds out the Jacks double-digit scorers with 10.4 points per game. Griffan Callahan, who leads the nation with a perfect 18-for-18 mark from the free throw line, averages 9.9 points and leads the Jackrabbits with 5.6 rebounds per game.

Individually, Griffan Callahan's perfect 18-for-18 mark from the free throw line leads THE nation, while Nate Wolters ranks 13th in the nation with a 3.7 assist to turnover ration.
CALLAHAN PERFECT FROM THE LINE - Junior Griffan Callahan enters the week with a perfect 18-for-18 mark from the charity stripe, including a season-high 6-for-6 effort vs. Nevada on Nov. 30. Every other player in the nation enters the week with at least one miss from the free throw line.
CLIMBING THE 1,000 POINT CLUB LADDER - Jackrabbit Senior Clint Sargent became the 41st member of the SDSU 1,000-Point Club on Feb. 25, 2010, in the Jacks 66-53 win over Western Illinois right here in Frost Arena.
Sargent started the season tied for 33rd on the all-time list with 1,035 points, but enters the weekend ranked 22nd all-time with 1,130 points, needing 18 points to move up to 21st on the all-time list.
NAGY RAISING MONEY FOR HAITIAN RELIEF EFFORTS - Head coach Scott Nagy teamed up with Samaritan's Feet in each of the last two seasons to raise money and shoes for children in Haiti, a cause that really hits home for Nagy and his family, especially after a major earthquake shook the country on Jan. 12, 2010.
Already scheduled to coach in his bare feet on Jan. 23, 2010, against Oakland to raise money and shoes, the devastation in Haiti caused Nagy to shift his focus from shoes to earthquake relief, which worked to the tune of over $6,000.
Jackrabbit fans can play their part again in 2011, when Nagy coaches barefoot when the Jacks host IPFW on Jan. 22, in Frost Arena. Anyone interested in donating can simply text SHOES to 85944, which automatically adds $5 to your next phone bill. Donations from the 605 area code go specifically to help Nagy's cause.
