The Bison won the first meeting of the season on Jan. 15, in Fargo to boost their streak to seven straight over the Jackrabbits, which means that the Jacks need a win this week to keep the three SDSU seniors from going 0-8 against NDSU in their careers.
One of those seniors, Garrett Callahan, led the Jacks with 15 points in the first meeting of the season, Anthony Cordova added 14 points in the 79-67 loss. Eric Carlson led four Bison in double figures with 23 points, Sam Sussenguth scored 16 points in the win, while Michael Tveidt and Josh Vaughan both finished with 14 points.
The Jacks won convincingly in both of their games last week, beating Southern Utah 84-60 on Thursday and UMKC 78-57 on Saturday. Garrett Callahan led the Jacks with 17 points against the Thunderbirds, moving into the top-10 in all-time scoring at SDSU in the process. He added 12 points against UMKC and enters the week ranked ninth on the all-time scoring charts with 1,381 points, nine shy of moving into eighth all-time. In addition to his scoring prowess, Callahan enters the week with 241 career assists, good for 10th all-time at SDSU.
Clint Sargent led four Jackrabbits in double figures with 18 points against UMKC, which gives him 949 points for his career, 51 shy of becoming the 41st member of the SDSU 1,000-Point Club.

THIS WEEK'S OPPONENT
North Dakota State Bison (9-14, 6-7 Summit, 4-7 Away) - NDSU comes to Frost Arena this weekend after splitting each of the last two Summit League weekends. Like the Jackrabbits, the Bison beat Centenary and lost to Oral Roberts two weeks ago, but unlike the Jacks, the Bison split their games against Southern Utah and UMKC last weekend in Fargo, falling to the Kangaroos 58-56 on Thursday, before thumping the Thunderbirds 79-59 on Saturday.
Michael Tveidt leads the Bison offense with 15.2 points per game and with 26 steals. Eric Carlson averages 15.0 points per game and leads the Bison with 6.9 rebounds per game, while Josh Vaughan averages 14.3 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. Vaughan also leads the team with 87 assists.

The First Meeting at NDSU (1/15/10) - SDSU's four game overall winning streak and five game Summit League winning streak came to an end at Bison Sports Arena in Fargo, as NDSU downed the Jacks 79-67.
The only streak that did continue did not go in the Jacks favor, as the loss marked the seventh straight at the hands of the Bison, dating back to a
67-65 Jackrabbit win on Feb. 18, 2006 at Frost Arena.
NEXT UP FOR THE JACKRABBITS - The Jackrabbits hit the road for the final time this season with games at Oakland on Thursday, and at IPFW Saturday.
