SDSU the first meeting against Kangaroos and Thunderbirds, both on the road, and another weekend sweep of these teams would not only get the second half of the season off on the right foot, it would go a long way towards getting the Jacks in the top half of The Summit League standings.
The Jacks closed the first half in style last Saturday in a big way, with a dominating 87-52 win over IPFW, the Jacks largest-ever margin of victory in a Summit League.
Every Jackrabbit played at least 10 minutes in the win over IPFW, including Clint Sargent, who led all players with 24 points on 8-of-12 shooting, 5-of-8 from three-point range. Wolters leads the Jackrabbit offense through 20 games with 18.8 points per game, with 120 assists and 29 steals. Sargent averages 16.3 points per game and adds 3.0 rebounds. Griffan Callahan averages 9.8 points per game and leads the team with 5.0 rebounds per game and with a .955 free throw percentage. He responded by going 11-for-11 over the next six games before missing again at Western Illinois. Callahan enters the week with a .955 free throw percentage, but did not attempt a single free throw over the last three games, so he fell out of the top spot nationally because he does not meet the required 2.5 attempts per game average.
