BROOKINGS, S.D.-- The Jacks faced an old foe from the now-defunct North Central Conference on Saturday afternoon at the HPER Center Pool, taking care of St. Cloud State University, a Division II program, by a finally tally of 171-117.
Senior Devonne Dalin picked up three individual wins as well as a relay victory in the final race of the day. Dalin took the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 24.70 seconds, the 100-yard freestyle in 53.34 seconds and the 100-yard butterfly in 59.11 seconds.
Dalin also led the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Selina Gilbertson, Nicole Grimit and Kaylin Caron to victory in a time of 3:37.18.
The Jacks had a strong showing in the longer events as well, with junior Andee Budahl taking three races.
Budahl swam the 1,000-yard freestyle in 10:38.62 and the Jacks took the top three spots as Emma Gaulke-Janowski and Kelsey Boucher finished second and third with times of 10:44.99 and 10:53.89, respectively.

Freshman diver Olivia Olesiak continues to improve during her first year on campus, winning both the one-meter and three-meter diving events on Saturday. Her score of 250.20 in the one-meter dive is a personal best and she just missed out on her personal best in the three-meter dive, settling for a 241.73 or .22 points shy of her season-best 241.95.
Another victory for the Jacks came in the 200-yard butterfly, where junior Emma Wright had the top time with 2:13.48, just edging out teammate Trina Young who finished second with a time of 2:13.85.

SDSU swims against Iowa Central Community College at the HPER Center Pool at 6 p.m. on Feb. 1 and jumps right back in the next morning, Feb. 2, for a 11 a.m. dual with University of North Dakota.
