OMAHA, Nebraska – The South Dakota State women's swimming and diving team fell to a 168-132 decision to Summit League rival Omaha in a dual Saturday afternoon.
The Jacks won 6 of the 16 events and dropped to 2-3 in duals this season.
The team of
Cassie Hendricks,
Kristin Erf,
Alexandra Spinner and
Julia Bodnaruk finished first in the 400 medley relay in 4:00.69 for the first victory of the day. Erf also captured a first place win in the 100 and 200 breaststroke with times of 1:05.71 and 2:25.72, respectively.
Richelle Bruyckere claimed a first place victory in the 200 freestyle in 1:56.36, while
Samantha Prasher finished first in the 100 backstroke in 59.72 seconds and
Cassie Hendricks came in close behind with a time of 1:00.17.
Freshman
Ashley Theobald captured the first place time in the 50 freestyle in 24.66 seconds.
In diving,
Emily Moore placed second in the 1-meter dive with a score of 237 and third in the 3-meter dive, 244.20.
