The South Dakota State women's golf team looks to defend its title when it hosts the 8
th annual Jackrabbit Invitational March 10-11 in Las Vegas.

The seven-team field plays at the par-72, 6,146-yard Siena Golf Club course. The field includes: CSU-Bakersfield, North Dakota State, Northern Michigan, Seton Hall, South Dakota and Western Michigan.

Senior
Megan Mingo won her first individual title last year at the Jackrabbit Invitational. She shot a two-under par 214 (71-72-71), collecting six birdies and setting personal bests for 36 holes (143) and 54 holes.

For the season, the Jackrabbits have already won three tournaments and finished in the top three in six of seven outings.

In the toughest tournament of the season, South Dakota State finished 10
th at the Hurricane Invitational Feb. 27-Mar. 1 in Coral Gables, Fla. Mingo shot a final-round 69 for the Jacks' top finish, tying for 33
rd. Senior
Islamiah Fuad also fired a final-round 69.

For the season, Mingo leads the team with a 74.25 stroke average, three top-five and five top-10 finishes. She ranks third in the latest Summit League rankings and is this week's Women's Golfer of the Week.

Hallie Getz sports a 74.95 stroke average with four top-five and five top-10 finishes. She is fifth in The Summit League.

Freshman Teresa Toscanco leads the Jackrabbits with four rounds at or below par. She has a 75.30 stroke average, which ranks eighth in the league, with three top-five finishes and four top-10 finishes.

Fuad has a top-five finish and four top-10 finishes. Her 76.06 stroke average is fourth on the team and 19
th in the league.

The Jackrabbits' 299.60 stroke average is currently the school record and leads The Summit League.
