Final meet before The Summit League championships
The South Dakota State track and field program will compete at the 92nd Howard Wood Dakota Relays May 5-6 in Sioux Falls, S.D.

More than 3,000 athletes from middle schools, high schools, colleges and universitys will be competing at the meet.
Â
On Friday, field events will begin with the men's hammer throw at 10:30 a.m. The women's 4x100-meter relay will get running events started at 2:45 p.m. on Friday. Saturday's field events will get started at 9 a.m. with the women's discus throw and men's and women's long jump. Running events will get underway at 10 a.m. with the women's 100-meter hurdle finals followed by the men's 110-meter hurdles finals.

Several Jackrabbit student-athletes rank in the top-30 nationally. Rachel King currently stands at 20th nationally in the 3,000-meter steeplechase after posting a time of 10:10.71 at the Mt. SAC Relays. Joel Reichow currently ranks 21st in the 10,000-meter run (28:56.24) and 30th in the 5,000-meter run (13:53.05). In the 1,500-meter run, Kyle Burdick ranks 28th in the nation with a time of 3:42.52.
