New Golf Tournament for Women’s Golf

Halfway through the fall season, the South Dakota State women's golf team travels to Idaho, for the Coeur d'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Gonzaga.
The 18-team field will participate in a 54-hole tournament at the par 71, 6,088-yard Coeur d'Alene Resort. Teams will play 36 holes Tuesday and 18 holes Wednesday in shotgun format. Both days start at 9 a.m.
Sophomore Sydney Bormann leads the Jackrabbits with a 75.17 scoring average. She was fifth at the UNO Invitational Sept. 1-2.
Freshman Cassidy Laidlaw is second on the team with a 75.67 stroke average. She led the Jackrabbits at the MSU Payne Stewart Memorial, firing a three-round 224 (74-78-72) on the par 71, 6,017-yard course.
