CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - The South Dakota State men's and women's swim teams won four of their five matchups in a quad dual meet at Northern Iowa Saturday.
The men's team defeated Western Illinois 169-122 and Valparaiso 219-65 while the women's squad bested WIU 160.5-133.5 and Valpo 208-71 and fell 221-77 to UNI.
"It was a great challenge for both squads today," said head coach
Doug Humphrey. "Between long travel, tough competition and a long meet, we made the best of our situation and came away with two meet wins on each the men's and women's team. We learned a lot about our teams today. We had some really great individual performances and are continuing to grow as a team."
