The South Dakota State women's swim and dive squad defeated University of Mary 185-103 and Augustana 153-127 Friday night.
The Jacks won five of the 16 events and set season-bests in 10 of them.
"Tonight was a very successful night for us," said head coach
Doug Humphrey. "We had a lot of breakthrough swims and season-best performances. We are not where we want to be quite yet but we took a very big step in the right direction."
Distance
- Emily Pincus swam a season-best 5:23.99 to place second in the 500 free.
- Rori Conners took fourth place in both the 1,000 free (11:00.37) and 500 free (5:26.77).
Sprints
Relays
- The Jacks finished second (4:05.33) and third (4:07.92) in the 400 medley relay.
- The 800 free relay saw second (8:06.16) and fourth (8:25.87) place finishes for SDSU.
Diving
- Quincee Simonson won the 3-meter with a season-high 233.26.
- Simonson swept the diving events, also winning the 1-meter (229.42).

The Jacks will return to Stanley J. Marshall tomorrow at 12 p.m. to take on Iowa State.
