ST. GEORGE, Utah—South Dakota State's
Sydney Bormann captured her first career-win and helped the women's golf team place second Friday at the Lady Thunderbird Invitational.

Bormann shot a 144 (71-73) which was one shot ahead of Kamonwan Prasurtwong (Southern Utah) and Natalie Roth (North Dakota State) who tied for second.

The Jackrabbits shot a 600 (299-301) on the par-72, 6,050-yard Sunbrook Golf Course, finishing just two shots behind Wyoming (306-292=598).

Teresa Toscano finished eighth with a 150 (73-77).
Cassidy Laidlaw tied for 13th (77-75=152) while
Natcha Srimaneerungroj tied for 19th (78-76=154).
Brooke Piearson tied for 40th with a 160 (79-81).

Playing as an individual,
Magda Kruger, tied for 46th (86-75=161).
