MADISON, Wisconsin—In its first tournament of the year, the South Dakota State men's golf team finished 11
th Tuesday at the Badger Invitational.
The Jackrabbits shot a three-round 901 (308-297-296) on the par-72, 7,259-yard University Ridge Golf Course. Illinois State won the event, shooting a nine-under par 855. Nevada's Joe Vrzich was medalist, firing a 13-under-par 203 (70-68-65).
Senior
Jared Nicolls tied for 27
th, shooting a five-over-par 221 (75-75-71). He collected nine birdies for the tournament.
Freshman
Harry Duggan had the top final round for SDSU, shooting a two-under par 70. He tied for 38
th (77-78-70=225).
Senior
Alejandro Perazzo (80-76-75) and freshman
Sam Batta (76-75-80) both shot 231s to tie for 55
th. Junior
Jacob Otta tied for 67
th (85-71-81=237).
Playing as an individual, senior
Jaxon Lynn tied for 76
th (81-79-85=245).
