OLSON WINS INDIVIDUAL TITLE AS JACKRABBITS TAKE THIRD AT WILDCAT INVITATIONAL

MANHATTAN, Kan. — The South Dakota State men's golf team wrapped up action at the Kansas State Wildcat Invitational with a third-place finish at Colbert Hills Golf Course on Tuesday.
Jake Olson won the individual tournament title as he carded a 211 (-5) over three rounds and was 5-under in the final two rounds of play.
The Jackrabbits posted an 882 (+17) team score over three rounds, good for third in the 15-team field. St. Thomas (MN) claimed the team title at 867 (+2).
In addition to Olson's tournament victory, Ty Adkins notched a top-10 finish, carding a 220 (+4) to finish in a tie for 10th place. Jacob Wilson followed with a nine-over 225 to tie for 32nd. Drew Teeter rounded out the scoring for the Jackrabbits with a 226 (+10) as he finished in a tie for 39th place.
Caleb Kern carded a 229 (+13) at the tournament as he tied for 50th place, while Mason Eaton competed as an individual with a 247 (+31) in a tie for 76th.
NOTES
• Olson is the first Jackrabbit to claim an individual tournament title since Tyler Seeling tied for 1st at the Summit League Championship at the Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona on April 29, 2025.
• Olson is also the first SDSU men's golfer to claim an outright individual tournament title since Bryson Mercier at the Jackrabbit Invitational at the Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada on March 8th, 2025.
