The South Dakota State men's golf team turned in a final-round 291 to tie for sixth Saturday at the 10
th-annual Jackrabbit Invitational in Nevada.
The Jackrabbits shot an 899 (304-304-291) at the par 72, 7,402-yard Boulder Creek Golf Club. James Madison shot a 1-over par 865 to win the 14-team event. The Dukes' Nacho Montero captured the individual title, shooting a 203 (66-69-68).
Jared Nicolls recorded his best finish of the season, tying for fifth with a 3-over par 219 (71-74-74). He collected seven birdies and an eagle in the event.
Playing as an individual,
Jonah Dohrer tied for eighth, moving up 18 spots, shooting a career-low 2-under par 70 in the final round. He shot a 221 (76-75-70).
Jacob Otta tied for 26th (78-75-72=225) with six birdies in the final round and nine for the invitational.
Jones Comerford tied for 34
th (79-79-70=228) with nine birdies for the event.
Jaxon Lynn tied for 41
st (76-78-75=229) and
Alejandro Perazzo tied for 59
th (79-77-78=234).
Playing as individuals,
Harry Duggan tied for 34
th (76-81-71=228) and
Sam Batta tied for 73
rd (77-88-74=239).
