South Dakota State equestrian will ride in a pair of weekend road meets, taking on Sweet Briar College Friday and No. 5 South Carolina Saturday.

Both meets will take place at South Carolina in Blythewood, S.C. with Friday being a neutral-site Jumping Seat-only meet beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday's meet against the Gamecocks will be a full meet at 10 a.m.

Sweet Briar (2-5)
SDSU faced Sweet Briar for the first time last year, winning the Jumping Seat-only meet 6-3 in October of 2018.

South Carolina (3-4)
The Jacks are 1-8 all-time against South Carolina dating back to 2005, winning their most recent matchup 15-4 in October of 2017.

Notes

Senior Jessica Martinez is currently tied for second all-time in career Fences wins at SDSU with 18, only three away from the record of 21 held by Santana Wright (2010-14).
Martinez also sits seventh at SDSU in career meets competed in Fences with 36, seven from the top spot of 42, held by both Wright and Jordan Goodall (2011-15).
With 15 career wins, Jordan Gates sits in a tie for second place all-time with Kelsey Champagne (2009-13), five short of the school record of 20 held by Kelsey Swainston (2013-17).
With two MOPs in Horsemanship this season, Gates is one away from tying the school record for most in a single season.
Gates also has three career MOPs in the event, tying her for third all-time at SDSU, four away from the record of seven held by Champagne.
