South Dakota State will take on Minnesota in a single nonconference game Wednesday afternoon in Minneapolis.
The Jackrabbits are 26-9 on the year and 7-2 in Summit League play. SDSU swept Western Illinois at home last weekend, outscoring the Leathernecks 26-0 in three run-rule victories.
South Dakota State leads the Summit League in batting average (.303), ERA (2.22), home runs (47), on-base percentage (.382) and slugging percentage (.502).
SDSU's pitching staff is holding opponents to a .208 batting average, which ranks second among Summit League teams. Tori Kniesche ranks second in the league in strikeouts with 153 and in ERA at 1.78. Grace Glanzer's 13 wins lead the league and her 2.46 ERA ranks third.
KEY STORYLINES
- The Jackrabbits are 28-3 in Summit League games over the past two seasons.
- SDSU is coming off a 3-0 weekend against Western Illinois in which the Jacks outscored the Leathernecks 26-0 over three games.
- Tori Kniesche is the reigning Summit League Pitcher of the Week after striking out 22 and giving up just one hit in 10 innings pitched last weekend.
- Cheyanne Masteron was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate against Western Illinois with all three hits being home runs. She made three other trips to the plate - walking twice and recording one sacrifice fly.
- Rozelyn Carrillo is batting .384 on the year to lead the Jackrabbits and has 43 hits, also a team high.
- Rozelyn Carrillo enters the weeked on a 12-game hitting streak.
- Five other Jacks are hitting above .300 - Emma Osmundson (.349), Lindsey Culver (.340), Cylie Halvorson (.310), Allison Yoder (.309) and Peyton Daugherty (.301).

- Emma Osmundson has 13 multi-hit games this season while Rozelyn Carrillo has 12 and Lindsey Culver, Peyton Daugherty and Cylie Halvorson have 10 apiece.

- Tori Kniesche is 11-5 on the year with a 1.78 ERA. She has struck out 10+ batters in nine of her 20 appearances this season.
- Tori Kniesche is averaging 1.50 strikeouts per inning and 10.5 strikeouts per seven innings.
- Grace Glanzer is 13-3 on the season. She has a 2.12 ERA and 96 strikeouts in 102.1 innings pitched.
- SDSU returns all nine all-Summit players from a season ago, including Player of the Year Cylie Halvorson, Pitcher of the Year Tori Kniesche and Freshman of the Year Grace Glanzer.
