FARGO, ND – The South Dakota State University men's track and field team won the Bison Team Cup with a final tally of 155 points as the women took second on Saturday at the Shelly Ellig Indoor Track & Field Facility.

Highlighting the men's side of competition was Pierre Lear once again breaking his own school record in the 60-meter hurdle finals. He clocked a 7.89 for a new personal best, a new facility record at NDSU and a first place finish in the event.

In the same event, Ryan Benson took seventh place in 8.61 seconds for a new personal best.

Evan Henderson won the 60-meter dash finals with a personal-best time of 6.88 seconds, which is now eighth all-time in school history. Jared Wipf (6.99) took second, Drew Olson (7.06) was fourth and Ty Kadlec (7.10, PR) finished sixth.

SDSU claimed five of the top eight spots in the 200-meter dash, led by winner Jared Wipf, who clocked a 22.41 for first place. Henderson finished third in 22.58, Olson took fourth in 22.79, Lear grabbed fifth in 22.98 and Kadlec ran a 23.16 for a PR and seventh place.

In the 400-meter dash, Thailan Hallman claimed runner-up with a time of 49.72. Kudra Nzibariza was fifth in 50.44 and Reggie Slaba took seventh in 51.15. The final two finishers were Jeremiah Donahoe (51.22, PR) in eighth and Joey Anders (51.53, PR) in 11^th.

Andrew Moeller clocked a 1:24.42 for fifth place in the 600-meter run and Will Lohr took sixth in a personal-best 1:28.64.

Carter Knaus and Will Lohr went 1-2 in the men's mile race as Knaus clocked a 4:15.65 and Lohr ran a 4:17.72 for a personal best.

Kyle Nordling won the 3000-meter run with a personal-best time of 8:43.04 while the SDSU 4x400-meter relay A squad took second place in 3:21.54.

Tristen Hanna won the triple jump with a distance of 46-00.00 while Tyler Goehring took second with 43-07.25.

Tre Manning won the long jump with a leap of 22-07.25 as Sam Rohlfs took third with his jump of 21-11.75 for a new PR. Benson (21-01.25) finished seventh and Aiden Giffin (20-04.50, PR) placed 10^th.

Conner Powers took fourth place in the men's high jump with a clearance of 6-04.75.

In the pole vault, Matthew Katz (16-02.75, PR, fourth all-time) took second place, Jaden Peter (15-05.00) finished in third and Ryan Karajanis (14-11.00) tied for fifth.

Hunter Wallster took third place in the men's weight throw with a throw of 61-10.50, which is a new PR and is sixth all-time. Dominick Etherington claimed fifth place with a 58-04.50 for a PR and 10^th all-time, Calob Jones was sixth with a personal-best distance of 57-06.25 and Ethan Fischer threw a personal-best 54-05.25 for eighth.

Etherington took third place in the shot put with a throw of 57-06.25. Wyatt Seagren (51-07.00, PR) finished in seventh and Brogan Seier (50-09.25, PR) took eighth place.

SDSU won the Bison Team Cup trophy with 155 points as host North Dakota State finished second with 146 points. North Dakota rounded out the team scores in third place with 26 points.

On the women's side, Brielle Dixon took runner-up in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.74 seconds as Katelyn Darnell finished in seventh in 9.26 seconds.

Jaiden Boomsma clocked a time of 7.71 seconds in the 60-meter dash finals and finished in third place while also claiming runner-up in the long jump with a new personal-best leap of 19-01.25.

SDSU took four of the top eight spots in the 200-meter dash with Cerington Jones in third place in 25.69 seconds. Erika Kuntz (26.32, PR) was sixth, Jessica Boeckelheide (26.51) claimed seventh and Jenna Johnson (26.62, PR) grabbed eighth.

Harley Fischer took third in the 600-meter run with a personal-best time of 1:38.09 as Jaide Guerts finished fourth in 1:43.23.

Nina Dawson was third in the 800-meter run with a personal-best time of 2:24.65 as Robyn Dayton finished in fifth in 2:43.37.

Three Jackrabbits scored for SDSU in the mile run, led by Grace Waage's second place finish in a personal-best 5:04.16. Claire Beckman took fourth in 5:05.46 for a PR and Nicole Greyer finished fifth in 5:05.54.

SDSU's 4x400-meter relay A squad took second in 3:55.93, the B squad finished third in 4:10.17 and the C squad was third with a time of 4:16.08.

Annie Wendt scored for SDSU as she took fifth place in the triple jump with a distance of 37-00.25. Camryn Brinkman (25-06.00) finished seventh, Emma Smith (35-01.75) grabbed eighth and Sydney Mouw (32-11.00) placed 10^th.

Jordan Stoddard won the high jump with a clearance of 5-07.00 for a career best, which is now tied for 10^th on the all-time list. Madison Kizer (5-05.00) took third, Layne Kirkendoll (5-03.00) finished fourth and Taylor Jochum (5-01.00, PR) tied for sixth.

Marianne Robin took seventh place in the weight throw with a throw of 47-00.75 as Kirsten Kilker took 10^th in a 44-06.75 for a PR.

Faith Leiseth claimed third place in the shot put with her throw of 45-05.25 as Catylynn Duff finished sixth with a personal-best 43-06.00 and Meghan Hettinga grabbed ninth with a throw of 41-07.25.

The women's team finished in second with 101 points as North Dakota State won the Bison Team Cup with 171.5 points. North Dakota took third place with 77.5 points.
