ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. - The South Dakota State women's golf team finished the fall portion of its schedule with a runner-up finish at the Tommie Invitational Thursday.
McKenzie Mages paced the Jackrabbits and finished in second place on the individual leaderboard.
The Jackrabbit team posted a 912 (+48) team tally in the play-six, count-five tournament format. Host St. Thomas won the event with a 901 (+37) score. North Dakota was third (944, +80). All five counting Jackrabbits finished in the top 10.
Mages' runner-up finish came with a 226 (+10) scorecard. It is the best individual placing of her collegiate career and the fourth top-10 finish.
Piper Stubbs tied for third place with a 227 (+11) tally, up one spot from her place after Wednesday's round.
Alex Kandolin was sixth with a 229 (+13).
Shakira-Ann Kuys tied for seventh place (232, +16) and
Reese Jansa placed 10th overall (235, +19).
Tatum Depuydt represented the Jackrabbits as the final member of the squad. She placed 14th with a 240 (+29).
Molly O'Hara competed individually and placed 13th overall (239, +23).
St. Thomas' Kathryn VanArragon won medalist honors. She fired a 2-under 214 over three rounds.
NOTES
- The SDSU team recorded 33 birdies, the most of all teams.
- Mages recorded par on 35 holes, the most of all players.

The Jackrabbits will be off until the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational February 18-19 in Sarasota, Florida.
