South Dakota State is expected to return to action for the first time in two weeks this weekend when the Jackrabbits make a trip to St. Paul to face St. Thomas. The Jackrabbits and Tommies will play a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday, then a single game Monday at 1 p.m. at St. Thomas' South Field.
The Jackrabbits' opening Summit League series versus Western Illinois was postponed, then their series this weekend against the Tommies has been pushed back a day due to anticipated weather in the Twin Cities.Â

SDSU is set to make its conference debut while St. Thomas dropped its first two Summit League matchups to Omaha. The Tommies are 8-21 overall with two wins coming in March. The Jackrabbits are 17-14 overall. Seven of SDSU's games have been against ranked opponents with the Jacks picking up a 5-2 win over then No. 20 Baylor, while dropping a close 4-3 decision to then No. 23 Wichita State.

SDSU went 3-0 against St. Thomas a season ago. The Jackrabbits were boosted by two no-hit performances by
Tori Kniesche which included 13 strikeouts and 20 strikeouts, respectively. SDSU hit 10 home runs in the three-game stretch and a program record five bombs in a single game. Â
