BROOKINGS, S.D. - The Jacks took down Wyoming Saturday night in dominant fashion, taking nine of the 10 matches in a 31-3 win.
The dual started with a ranked matchup between No. 18 Cobe Siebrecht and No. 20 Jared Hill. Siebrecht got out to a fast start, scoring a takedown in the first and riding out the period against Hill. After scoring an escape, Siebrecht was taken down by Hill in the third with 30 seconds left. Siebrecht mounted a key takedown defense with 10 seconds left to secure a 5-3 decision and three points for the Jacks.
No. 11 Drake Rhodes returned to action after a month off the mat against Cooper Voorhees. Rhodes got right to work scoring two takedowns in the first and didn't look back after scoring an 18-3 tech fall win in his return.
No. 9 Cade DeVos took on Riley Davis at 174 pounds. The sixth-year senior scored an escape in the second before shutting out Davis with a 2-0 decision victory.
No. 6 Bennett Berge took on No. 33 Eddie Neitenbach at 184 pounds. Berge came out strong with two takedowns in the first on his way to a 9-2 decision over Neitenbach. The win was Berge's seventh ranked win of the season.
Tommy Dineen faced a tough test against No. 11 Joey Novak at 197 pounds. Novak scored some early offense with a takedown in the first, but Dineen battled back and secured a takedown of his own with 30 seconds left in the match to send it to sudden victory. Dineen made the first move in sudden victory but could not secure the takedown, allowing Novak to score and take the match in sudden victory. It was the only match of the night the Jacks dropped.
Luke Rasmussen continued his winning ways against Sam Mitchell on his way to a 7-4 decision. No. 15 Tanner Jordan and No. 25 Derrick Cardinal each scored a major decision in their matches to increase the Jacks' lead with bonus points.
At 141 pounds, Julian Tagg faced off with Cole Brooks in a tightly contested bout. A reversal by Tagg in the third sealed the match for the Jackrabbits, as he took a 3-2 decision win over Brooks.
Avery Allen capped off the night with a decision win over Antonio Avila, his second win over Avila this season. The crucial point of the match was a single-leg takedown by Allen in the second, which Avila could not recover from, giving Allen the 5-1 decision.

The Jacks return to First Bank & Trust Arena next Friday, Feb. 7th, against Northern Colorado.
