BOULDER CITY, Nev. - The South Dakota State men's golf team is set to host the Jackrabbit Invitational Friday and Saturday at Boulder Creek Golf Club.
Seven Jackrabbits will compete in the event, led by senior Ty Kretz in the No. 1 spot. Bryson Mercier, Tyler Seeling, Blake Schaper and Drew Teeter complete the five-man team while Jake Olson and Marco Lin will complete individually.
Kretz has paced the Jackrabbits in every tournament so far this season, most recently with a 22nd-place finish at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate. As a team, SDSU looks to improve on its 12-place finish at its most recent outing.
LAST TIME OUT
The South Dakota State men's golf team finished in 12th place at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate on February 26. The Jackrabbits posted a +14 team tally with steady 292 (+4), 293 (+5) and 293 (+5) scores over the event's three rounds.
Ty Kretz finished in 22nd place to lead the Jacks. Over three days, Kretz was 3-under par. Bryson Mercier finished in a tie for 43rd place (+2). Blake Schaper finished in 70th place overall with a +10 tally. Tyler Seeling rolled in an eagle on the 18th hole of the final round and finished in a tie for 73rd place (+12). Jake Olson rounded out the lineup in a tie for 77th place (+14).
UP NEXT
The Jacks are set to complete at the Bell Bank Pay it Forward Collegiate March 24-25 in Phoenix.Â
