ST. PAUL – South Dakota State scored the first two runs but St. Thomas responded by scoring the next six on the Tommies' way to a 6-2 win over the Jackrabbits on Sunday, April 13, at South Field. The series in St. Paul closed with St. Thomas claiming two of the three games.Â

SDSU got on the board first in the top of the second inning.
Alli Boyle singled to lead off the frame and scored on an RBI double by
Madi Conklin. An
Emma Christensen RBI double plated Conklin to put the Jackrabbits on top, 2-0.Â

St. Thomas tied the score at 2-2 by scoring a run apiece in the second and third innings. A three-run fifth inning behind three hits put the Tommies ahead for good.Â

South Dakota State recorded eight hits on the day. The trio of Boyle, Conklin and Christensen each had two hits.
Akayla Barnard started the game and pitched two innings.
Tayler Baker was credited with the loss as she fell to 6-5 this season.

- The Jackrabbits are now 21-20 overall and 6-3 in Summit League play. The Tommies are 20-17 (6-3). Omaha sits atop The Summit League standings with a 9-3 record.
- St. Thomas, after earning its first Division I era win over SDSU on Saturday, picked up its first series victory over South Dakota State.
- Brooke Dumont had a 25-game reached base streak end on Sunday.Â
