SOUTH SIOUX CITY, NEB. – The South Dakota State men and women each finished in second place at the Briar Cliff Invitational at Siouxland Freedom Park, highlighted by three combined top-five finishes.

MEN'S RACE
Four Jackrabbits placed inside of the top eight of the meet.
Tate Grabow (26:04.4),
Caleb Morris (26:09.7), and
Griffin Smith (26:14.1) finished fourth through sixth consecutively.
Keaton Olson (26:29.4) was close behind, crossing the line in eighth.
Will Harder (27:39.9) rounded out the scoring for SDSU, placing 25
th.
As a team, South Dakota State placed second, behind Creighton who had the top three runners in the field.
WOMEN'S RACE
Ellie Robinson (23:28.2) paced the Jacks, timing inside the top five individually.
Anna Sheriff (23:50.6) crossed the line in eighth.
Lindsey Rotz (24:03.5) and
Halle Bauer (24:42.6) each secured top 20 placements, while
Brianne Travis (24:59.7) capped off the scoring.
The Jackrabbit women also finished in second place behind Creighton.
UP NEXT
The Jackrabbits are off next weekend leading into pre-nationals in Terre Haute, Indiana on October 16, along with the Platte River Rumble in Ashland, Nebraska the same day.
