MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. — South Dakota State's Ellie Harris demolished her own 200-meter program record at the Gary Wilson Invitational Wednesday evening.
Harris clocked a time of 23.39, besting her program record by 0.42 seconds to finish second in the event.
In the 100-meter dash, Chloe Raw claimed runner-up with a time of 11.21. Raw's time bests her personal record by 0.53 seconds, however the wind speed at the time of competition was 7.8 meters per second, disqualifying the performance from top 10 consideration.
Silja Gunderson finished in the top five of the 100-meter hurdles competition. Gunderson crossed the line at 14.22, just 0.02 seconds short of her personal record, and 0.03 shy of the SDSU top 10 list.
In field events, Kincade Lehman won the triple jump with a mark of 48-04.75 (14.75m).
Taylor Jochum and Hadley Carlson placed third and fourth, respectively in the high jump competition. Jochum cleared 5-07.00 (1.70m), while Carlson jumped 5-05.00 (1.65m).
Jaden Peters clutched bronze in pole vault after clearing 15-06.25 (4.73m).
Johanna Pihl finished sixth in the long jump competition. Pihl landed a mark of 18-08.00 (5.69m), less than two inches away from a program top 10 placement.
