MESA, Ariz. - The South Dakota State men's golf team slipped two spots to seventh place on the second day of the Summit League Championships at Longbow Golf Club.
The Jackrabbits posted a 299 (+15) team score for the day, led by
Drew Teeter's 73 (+2). Teeter is tied for 15th on the individual leaderboard with a +3 two-round tally. He is five shots off the top of the leaderboard heading into the final round.
Jake Olson is in a tie for 21st place,
Jacob Wilson is tied for 25th,
Bryson Mercier is tied for 28th and
Tyler Seeling is tied for 33rd place.
Led by senior Gabe Benson's Monday 66 (-5), North Dakota State vaulted into the lead with the second round. The Bison have a six-stroke advantage over the field in the team race. Denver is in second (+7) and South Dakota in third (+8 to round out the top three.
Four players, including NDSU's Benson, are tied at the top of the individual leaderboard with matching -2 scorecards. Benson is joined by Parker Etzel and Jack Holtz - both South Dakota Coyotes - and Denver's Jet Hernandez.
