SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State junior Jake Olson garnered the latest Summit League Peak Golfer of the Week accolades, League officials announced Thursday. This is the first weekly honor of Olson's career.
Olson won the individual championship at the Kansas State Wildcat Invitational with a 54-hole total of 211 (-5), pacing all Summit League competitors in the field. He posted rounds of 72 (E), 69 (-3) and 70 (-2) to help lead SDSU to a third-place finish.
The Watertown, S.D., native carded 15 birdies across the tournament, tallying five in each round as he secured the first-place finish.
