Jackrabbits shutout Oral Roberts 1-0 in final Summit League match of the season

TULSA, Okla. ? Led by a goal from Danielle Healy and strong defensive play the South Dakota State women's soccer team beat the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles 1-0 Sunday afternoon at ORU Soccer Complex.

The win improved SDSU's record to 7-4-4. This was the Jackrabbits' last Summit League match and they finished with a 5-1-2 conference record. Oral Roberts dropped to 8-7-3 overall and 2-2-3 in Summit League Play.

Healy's goal came in the 40th minute of the match. The goal was her third of the season. Kellyn Farrell picked up her team-leading sixth assist of the season on Healy's goal.

Nicole Lograsso was in goal for SDSU, but did not have to make a save because of the excellent defense in front of her. The Jackrabbits only allowed one shot on goal and the team was credited with the save.

Stef Gurley was the goalkeeper for Oral Roberts. She had six saves and allowed one goal.

The Jackrabbits out-shot the Golden Eagles 10-6 during the match. Eight of SDSU's 10 shots were on goal.

Chelsea Goosen, Erin Kasmarik, Farrell and Healy each had two shots to lead the Jackrabbits. Farrell and Healy led the team with two shots on goal each.

The Jackrabbits will be in action again on Friday Nov. 2 when they take on the Liberty Flames at Liberty Soccer Field in Lynchburg, Va. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET.
