Two goals by Justice leads Jacks to victory over Liberty

LYNCHBURG, Va. ? Kaitlin Justice scored two goals to lead the South Dakota State women's soccer team to a 2-0 win over the Liberty Flames Friday night at Liberty Soccer Field.

The Jackrabbits now have an 8-4-4 record on the season. The loss dropped Liberty's record to 6-11-0 on the season.

Justice scored her first goal in the 51st minute of the match. The unassisted goal was her fourth of the season.

Her second goal of the game was scored in the 81st minute. Kelsey Worcester picked up the assist on Justice's fifth goal of the season. Justice leads the team with three game-winning goals and is tied with Worcester and Kellyn Farrell for the team lead in goals.

Nicole Lograsso was the goalie for the Jackrabbits. She stopped all six shots that she faced to pick up her fourth shutout of the season. Lograsso has nine career shutouts and trails only Brittany Frazier on the all-time shutouts list. Frazier had 11 shutouts during her career (2001-2004).

The Jackrabbits had more goals, but were out-shot by Liberty 14-10. The Flames had six shots on goal to SDSU's four.

Chelsea Goosen led SDSU with five shots. Justice and Goosen had two shots on goal each to lead the Jackrabbits.

Mallory Neff and Amy Oberlin led the Flames with three shots each. Neff led Liberty with two shots on goal.

The Jackrabbits will play their final game of the season Sunday against the Longwood Lancers. The match will be played at Athletics Complex in Farmville, Va. and is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. ET.
