LINCOLN, Neb. ? The South Dakota State women's track team saw several top-10 and personal records fall at the Husker Invitational in Lincoln, Neb. taking place Friday night and Satruday.
Heather Wollman set a new personal record and improved on her second place mark on SDSU's top-10 list with a preliminary mark of 7.69 seconds in the 60-meter dash. In the finals on Saturday, the finish fifth with a time of 7.70.
The women's 4x400 meter relay posted the fourth-fastest time at SDSU with a time of 3 minutes 53.09 seconds. The team consisted of
Brittany Garner,
Stacy Huss,
Ashley Storm and
Heather Wollman.
Rachael Hakk placed fifth in the women's pentathlon with a score of 3,336. She improves on her third-best all-time pentathlon mark at SDSU.
In the mile run,
Ashley Storm and
Danielle Burke set all-time top-10 marks at SDSU.
Ashley Storm finished fourth with a time of 5:03.03 and is now ninth on the top-10 list. Burke came in right behind Storm in fifth place with a time of 5:03.72 for a spot in 10th place on the all-time list.
Heidi Quail also finished in 16th.
Brittany Garner set a set a new personal best in the 200-meter prelims on Friday with a time of 25.24 seconds. She qualified for the finals and placed fifth overall with a time of 25.29 on Saturday.
Danielle Burke broke into SDSU's all-time list coming in at 10th for her sixth-place performance in the 1000-meter run. She finished with a time of 3:00.78.
SDSU returns to action Thursday in Ames, Iowa at the Iowa State Classic with events starting at 12:30 p.m.
