The South Dakota State women's soccer team opened up Summit League play last week with a 1-1 record. The Jackrabbits look to improve in the conference standings this week when they host IUPUI and Western Illinois to open the Summit League home schedule.
“It's great to be back home after a long road trip. It should be an exciting weekend of soccer taking on the two teams we faced in the Summit League tournament last year,” said head coach Lang Wedemeyer. “Considering both teams got two wins in the first weekend of conference play makes these games that much more important.”
Danni Healy leads the team in points with 10 and in goals with four. She is tied for fourth in the Summit League in points and tied for fifth in the league in goals.
Kayla Braffet leads with 30 shots and 12 on-goal, while Kaitlin Justice follows close behind with 29, including 11 on-goal. Braffet stands in third in the league with her 30 shots, while Justice is tied for fourth in the league.
