VERMILLION, S.D. -- The Jackrabbit swimming and diving team defeated the University of South Dakota 180.5-114.5 on Saturday afternoon in Vermillion.
Junior Clark Kocourek broke the pool and school record in the 3-meter dive with a winning score of 312.23. Kocourek also won the 1-meter dive with a score of 279.15.
Shea Patrick won three events on the day. Patrick won the 100-breaststroke in 1:07.16, 200-breaststroke in 2:27.74 and the 200 IM in 2:13.59.
Kyle Ochsner won the 800-freestyle in a pool record time of 8:40.06. Ochsner also won the 400-freestyle in a time of 4:14.91.
Wil Hogue won the 100- and 200-freestyle in 52.73 seconds and 1:58.83, respectively.
Phil Albu won the 100- and 200-backstroke in 58.53 seconds and 2:09.10, respectively.
Ben Bolinske won the 50-freestyle in 24.40 seconds.
The 200 medley relay team of Albu, Patrick, Garth Wadsworth and Hogue won in a time of 1:48.09.
The 200 freestyle relay team of Hogue, Albu, Yann Desjardins and Bolinske won in a time of 1:36.65.
The Jackrabbits will be home next on Saturday to take on St. Cloud State (Minn.) at 2 p.m.
