The South Dakota State men's swimming and diving team defeats in-state rival 169-131, while breaking school and pool record.
Geoffrey Longhurst broke the school and pool record in the 100 individual medley with a time of 54.25.
The team of
Chase Petersen,
Wyatt Rumrill,
Tony Mikrut and
Maclaine Johnson won the 200 medley relay in 1:35.93. Rumrill also won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:09.61, staying undefeated in the event.
In the 1,000 freestyle,
Chris Angerhofer and
Christian Offenhauser finished one, two in 9:52.50 and 9:53.43, respectively. Offenhauser also won the 500 freestyle in 4:46.02 first his first career-win as a Jackrabbit.
Donovan Taylor placed first in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:57.44, while
Spencer Sathre followed behind in 1:59.10.
Matthew Carpenter and Chase Peterson also finished first and second the 200 backstroke with times of 1:57.54 and 1:59.40, respectively.
Mikrut claimed a victory in the 100 butterfly in 52.75.
In diving, Joey Weber finished first in the 1-meter diving with a score of 286.43.
Noah Batenhorst finished second in the 3-meter diving with a score of 280.73.
