NCAA TOURNAMENT TIME
- South Dakota State is making its second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship. The Jackrabbits are a No. 13 seed in the Stanford Regional May 15-17.
- The Jackrabbits advanced to the NCAA Championship as an automatic qualifier after winning the 2017 Summit League Championship May 1-2 in Newton, Kan.
- State is the first team since 2009 & 2010 to win back-to-back Summit League Championships. Since 2007-08 when South Dakota State joined the league, only two other teams have won two-or-more league championships (Western Illinois & Oral Roberts).
- SDSU's starting lineup consists of seniors Grant Smith and Trevor Tobin, sophomores Alejandro Perazzo and Jaxon Lynn and rookie Alejandro Restrepo. The lineup has started four tournaments this season.
- Smith and Restrepo earned Summit League postseason honors. Smith was named the league's championship MVP while Restrepo earned all-tournament and second-team All-Summit League accolades.
- The Jackrabbits' 298.55 stroke average is on pace to rank sixth in a single season at State.
- During the regular season, the Jackrabbits placed fourth at The Jackrabbit Invitational, defeating then-70th ranked Oregon State, and finished in the top 10 in six tournaments.
- Smith ranks third at SDSU in career stroke average (74.40) and Lynn fifth (75.63).

REGIONAL FORMAT
- The 54-hole Stanford Regional consists of 13 teams and 10 individuals not on those teams. The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals.
- The finals will be held May 26-31 at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill. Northern Illinois is the host institution for the 2017 championships.

VANDAMME, STANFORD GOLF COURSE
- South Dakota State Director of Golf Casey VanDamme is familiar with the Stanford Golf Course after coaching the 2011-12 Tennessee men's golf team to a sixth-place finish in the NCAA Regional.
- The Stanford Golf Course is the shortest course, yard-wise, that the Jackrabbits have played. It will also be a first this season playing on a par-70 course.
AGAINST THE FIELD
- South Dakota State Director of Golf Casey VanDamme continued to overhaul othe Jackrabbits' schedule for 2016-17.
- The third-year mentor again hosted The Jackrabbit, bringing in an elite field of golfers for a three-day event at The Dunes course at Prairie Club in Valentine, Neb.
- The Jackrabbits finished fourth against a field that included then-No. 9 Clemson, then-No. 48 Tennessee and then No. 70 Oregon State.
- Jaxon Lynn led the team, finishing fourth while Alejandro Restrepo tied for 10th. As a team, the Jacks finished ahead of Oregon State and Tennessee.
- SDSU has competed against 15 teams ranked in the top 50 by GolfWeek this season (Arizona State, BYU, Clemson, Iowa State, Kansas, LSU, Missouri, New Mexico, Oregon, Pepperdine, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, UCLA, UNLV and Washington).
- During the regular season, South Dakota State posted a 0-3 record against the teams in the Stanford Regional.
STANFORD GOLF COURSE
- Par-70, 6,727-yards. Features five par 3s, 10 par 4s and three par 5s.
- The Stanford Golf Course also was the site for the NCAA Regional Championships in 2005 and 2012, and will serve as a host site in 2019.
