VALENTINE, Nebraska—South Dakota State men's golfer
Jacob Otta closed the fourth-annual The Jackrabbit Tuesday with his best finish of this career.
The junior tied for 16th (75-72-72=219) with a seven-stroke jump on the par-72, 7,483-yard Dunes course at The Prairie Club. He collected four birdies in the final round and nine for the tournament.
The Jackrabbits finished seventh (300-289-297=886) while Kansas shot a final round 281 (282-282-281=845) to upset Central Florida for the title. The Jayhawks Harry Hiller claimed the individual title with a three-round 205 (67-70-68=205).
Jackrabbit senior
Jared Nicolls tied for 29th with a 222 (78-72-72). He had an eagle on the par-five, 555-yard 10
th hole and a pair of birdies in the final round.
Freshman
Harry Duggan tied for 33rd (76-69-79=224), senior
Alejandro Perazzo tied for 36th (75-76-74=225) and freshman
Jonah Dohrer finished 68th (74-80-87=241).
Playing as individuals, senior
Jaxon Lynn tied for 52nd (74-82-76=232) and freshman
Sam Batta tied for 65th (79-78-82=239).
