COLLEGE GROVE, Tenn. – The South Dakota State men's golf team finished 12
th at the Intercollegiate at The Grove in College Grove, Tenn. on Tuesday.

The event was originally scheduled to be three rounds, but on Monday round two was canceled due to rain.

The Jackrabbits posted scores of 304-302—607 (+31). Tennessee captured first with 569 (-7), while Lamar finished second at 585 (+9).

"Disappointing finish for us this week. As always the guys fought for each shot but we hit some poor ones that cost us big time," said head coach
Casey VanDamme. "Too many big numbers to compete at the level we are trying to compete at."

Jonah Dohrer and
Jones Comerford tied for 20
th with 76-71—147 (+3) and 71-76—147 (+3), respectively.
"Jonah had a great round today with pretty tough conditions," VanDamme said.

Jack Tanner finished tied for 67
th with 79-78—157 (+13).
Jacob Otta and
Harry Duggan rounded out the Jackrabbit lineup with scores of 163 (+19) and 164 (+20), respectively.

Individually,
Matthew Schaefer finished the tournament with 80-82—162 (+18)

"Each tournament I have seen things that can confirm how great we can be. We just need some guys to improve consistency and gain some confidence. I am sure we will have both soon," said VanDamme.
