Men’s Golf Finishes Ninth

ST. GEORGE, Utah—In its first spring competition of the season, the South Dakota State men's golf team finished ninth Tuesday at the Pizza Hut Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational.
The Jackrabbits shot a two-round 611 (304-307) on the par 72, 6,900-yard Sunbrook Golf Course. Northern Colorado won the 11-team event, shooting a 572.
Junior Jacob Otta tied for eighth, firing a final-round 72 (71-72=143). Playing as an individual, senior Alejandro Perazzo also tied for eighth (71-72=143). Senior Jared Nicolls tied for 15th (72-73=145).
Sophomore Jones Comerford tied for 57th (81-80=161) and senior Jaxon Lynn (82-82=164) and freshman Jonah Dohrer (80-84=164) both tied for 60th.
Playing as individuals, freshman Harry Duggan finished 53rd (78-80=158) and classmate Sam Batta tied for 65th (83-83=166).
