MADISON, Wis. - The South Dakota State men's golf team wrapped the Wisconsin Badger Invitational in 14th place Tuesday.
Luke Honner led the Jackrabbits with a 17th-place finish.
Honner tallied a 214 (-2) final scorecard. After firing two rounds under par Sunday and Monday, he carded a 75 (+3) Tuesday. Honner has paced the Jacks in two of three tournaments this season.
Bryson Mercier posted a 70 (-2) Tuesday, bringing his three-round score to 215 (-1) for a t-19th finish. It is the best 54-hole scorecard of his collegiate career.
Ty Kretz placed t-45th with a 219 (+3).
Lucas Schaefbauer finished tied for 69th place (225, +9) and
Tucker D'Allaird was tied for 81st (233, +17).
SDSU finished with an 873 (+9) team score. South Alabama's Joshua Hill used a 67 (-5) Tuesday to come from behind for medalist honors. FGCU won the team title by one shot over Illinois State and Middle Tennessee State.
