LARCHWOOD, Iowa - The South Dakota State women's golf team has four players in the top three and an 18-shot lead over the field following the first day of the Fall Jackrabbit Invitational Saturday at Grand Falls Casino and Golf Resort.
The Jackrabbit squad is +48 as a team through 36 holes of action on a windy day at the course.
McKenzie Mages leads all players with a +8 scorecard. She fired an even-par 72 on the first lap of the day, then was +8 for round two. Mages is following by Jackrabbits
Riko Danjo (+12),
Reese Jansa (+14) and
Hannah Boraas (+14).
Hannah Pettitt is the fifth Jackrabbit competing with the team. She is in 10th place at +20.
Samantha Stites is tied for 14th place (+25) and
Shelby McCord is in 23th place (+42), both as individuals.
Austin Peay is second on the leaderboard with a +66 team tally, followed by University of Sioux Falls at +86 and Northern Iowa at +101.
