VERONA, Wis. - McKenzie Mages carded her best round of the season Sunday at Wisconsin's University Ridge Golf Course and is tied for fifth place on the Badger Invitational leaderboard.
Mages, a senior, fired a 70 (-2) during Sunday's opening round. She tallied four birdies. Hannah Boraas followed Mages with a 73 (+1) tally and five birdies on the day. She is tied for 14th place. Riko Danjo (t-54th, +5), Samantha Stites (t-73rd, +9) and Molly O'Hara (79th, +13) are also competing with the squad.
The team is in 10th place with two rounds remaining.
Reese Jansa is competing individually. She shot +4 Sunday and is tied for 43rd place.
NOTES
Hannah Boraas' five birdies is the second highest total among the field after day one.
UP NEXT
Round two of the Badger Invitational will be played Monday. The final round is set for Tuesday.
